Since 2007 Laura Robinson and Dr. Liz Stirling have collaborated on ‘The Den Project’ - a joint practice initiating the
construction and inhabitation of spaces of creativity. They have invited people of all ages to participate in the
design and making of temporary environments as a means of communicating that does not depend on one
common language. Last year we shifted the focus of our practice, beyond den-making to empowering people
through play in unique experiences.
this blogging confuses me..some den expereinces....
made a birthing den this week with my sis in the birthing pool surrounded by candles, whale music and midwives eating choc.
boys fav is all the cushions off the sofas with throw over the top but still trying best structure to ensure no roof collapse?? a roof seems essential some how?
or we cheat with the pop up tent and all jump in whilst grandma pretend to be a monster scratching the sides.
as a child it was the rhodendrum bushes in the woods at the end of the garden, find a good opening inside with just enough space for a few mates and ace low branches as seats, build up a stash of food and misc troll toys to make it homely. happy days.
